...are something I don't have in my house. I have sweet little boys. But there is just something about sweet little girls. Take Megan for example. Don't you just love that smile?!
I made Megan some baby goodies back in the day while she was still in her Mommy's tummy. Back when I had TIME to create. When my house was not a constant disaster.
Megan's Mommy & I went through a deployment together. Fast forward a few years and the all four friends from Colorado Springs have spread out across the US, and have 6 babies amongst us. (We had 0 human babies-lots of dogs-while our husbands were gone!)
So when my friend saw how to make a simple blanket on Pinterest I felt like it was only fair I warn her about what a nightmare Minky is to work with. I told her to send the fabric to me and I'd whip something up. I don't know if what I did was what she had in mind, but I think it turned out pretty darn cute. The fabric she sent was brown minky and some adorable fabric (I want to say it was called Woodland Creatures but I really don't recall off hand.) I had her send plenty so I could make a larger quilt to put on Megan's big girl (toddler) bed. I quilted it with clouds in mind. I think it turned out really cute! Dont you?
{Sorry for the awesome iPhone photos. The best camera is the one you have.}

{I think the top half was quilted, the bottom half was pinned. Notice the baby legs in the top right corner?} |
{Ready to go...after sitting finished in my house for at LEAST two weeks. Ah.} |
