made: Teacher's Gift {Mini-Tutorial}

School is about to start (yikes!) although I made these as end of year teacher gifts, these would also be a nice gift to start off the school year....easy & quick to make, you can't beat that:

Using some craft paper, mod podge, and clipboards, I created these gift's for my son's teachers last year:

First I traced the outside of the clipboard and carefully trimmed and also trimmed around the metal bracket. I added a contrasting stripe, and monogram of the teacher's name (on both sides).

I carefully covered both sides with a coat of mod podge. (Allowing each side to dry thorougly before beginning the second side.)

I added some pieces of ribbon, just to spice things up:

Plus, I scanned a piece of the coordinating scrapbook paper, added it to a blank page across the long side of the page, added the teacher's name, printed, and trimmed the corners using scrapbooking tools.
