After my OB visit this morning (all ok) I decided to take my little man to our favorite All You Can Eat Chinese place. I don't actually eat most/much of the chinese food. I go for the sushi. Yes, I'm pregnant AND I eat SUSHI. I try to veer away from too much raw fish (I live in a landlocked state!) and enjoy the California Rolls and whatever on the buffet appears to have lots of vegetables in the middle. Yum. This place also makes a tempora roll-they take the rolls and deep fry them-heavenly! Okay my mouth is watering, and I just ate some. My picky son also will eat here, so it's a double win for me.
After our lunch I decided I was going to be ambitious today and attempt to make some copy cat/knock off samoa cookies. You know, the girl scout kind. Most people don't know this about me, but I was a Girl Scout for 16 years (yes, more than half of my life!) So, I've sold (and eaten) my share of Samoas.
I still need to play with the chocolate---but what I've made thus far is pretty yummy. It's not an exact twin, but it's pretty darn good.
Tonight I have my very first "Mommy's Night Out" Photography Class. It's not for Mom's in particular, it's just that it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time. My husband has been encouraging me to learn how to actually USE the expensive camera we have (instead of just using it as a point & shoot!) So, I need to get cracking on dinner so it's ready by the time he gets home.
I can't wait to show you the pictures of my wanna be samoas. You're going to want to come over to share some :)
