On a whim, I decided our half bathroom needing some updating. Of course I wasn't wanting to spend a ton of money, but I hated the shape of the pedestal sink...and was also having the urge to add some color into our very beige home.
Laying outside on the hammock, I envisioned something bright and sunny. Like looking up into a canopy of fresh spring leaves...I'd pinned a few color pallettes that I liked...
I decided to update the sink. I knew I wanted something with a little storage. I also wanted to be able to put a soap dispenser without it wobbling (like the previous pedestal sink!) I ended up altering a plan from Ana White to create a simple farmhouse vanity...and also pinned her post about a new gray stain that I instantly fell in love with.
I had also pinned quite a few tutorials of how to install board and batten, I figured this room was so small, it would be perfect to attempt this project.
Here is what the house looked like when we decided to purchase it...after moving in we really hadn't changed it at all. And never really decorated it much either.
What a huge difference, right?! Stay tuned for the details...
...and for the first time ever, I am linking back to the Pinterest Challenge over at Young House Love.
