Bathroom redo: shelving

When we moved into our new house, we were feeling happy that nothing needed upgrading...everything was move in ready, in great condition, and extremely well kept. Now that we've lived here for a few months, we have lots of ideas for improvements...yes, I did ask for a paint sprayer and pneumatic nail gun for Christmas. {Although I can't complain about the sewing machine I received instead!}

One of the things that we thought we could improve upon was our master bathroom. The suite itself is fairly large, but it's a little blah. The bathroom is the same time as the other bathrooms, same tile, same faucets, same counters & cabinet. It doesn't feel special..

One thing I wanted to do was improve the towel drying options. We had simple hooks right outside the showers, but I decided to take out the oil rubbed bronze finish and have the same finishes (chrome) throughout. Some day we hope to change out the tiles and pull out the shower insert, but nothing that major is in the works now.

Using a pallet we found near our local recycling center, we simply measured 2" sections. I painted on numbers just to jazz it up a little, and added chrome hooks from Lowes. So simple...
