Another Baby, Another Quilt.

Last week I shared about the arrival of the first baby in my baby boom (which has recently expanded through the fall with another 2 friends expecting!)

Ryan was a whopping 10 pounds. His Mom & I were roommates my junior year of college and went through a teaching program together, so we had countless classes together. She's a wonderful mother, wife, and friend and I know her heart is filled with happiness at the arrival of her "little" bundle of joy.

I mailed her a package containing this blanket & outfit:

The fabric I used was a really simple white with soft blue polkadots. So sweet.

I used a striped backing, and folded over the backing to create a bias border.

Of course I used my favorite font {American Typewriter} in navy blue fabric. I cut this with my Silhouette (shhh....using my own interfacing on the backside and freezer paper on the top!)

and used the same font on the onesie, just used freezer paper & soft fabric paint:

I quilted the top in a meandering pattern, left the borders plain.

Simple & sweet. And Katelyn loves it, hopefully baby Ryan will too!
